A Little Golden Goodness for Your Week

I wanted to share something I’ve been loving lately – my homemade turmeric and ginger shots. These little golden boosts are a beautiful ritual to start the day, especially as the seasons shift and we look for grounding and immunity.
Made from fresh roots, this recipe is simple, energising and packed with natural anti-inflammatory and immune-supporting goodness.

Here’s how I make them:
🌿 You’ll need: 2 thumb-sized ginger roots; 2 thumb-sized turmeric roots; 1 medium lemon; 500ml water; honey (optional – I sometimes leave it out)
✨ Method:
Chop the ginger and turmeric roots in thick cubes (may be worth wearing gloves to avoid yellow fingers!).
Add them to a blender with the water.
Blend until smooth – about 1-2 minutes.
Squeeze in your lemon juice and stir through.
Strain using a fine sieve or nut milk bag into a jug.
Add honey if you’d like a little sweetness 🍯- or even cayenne for extra spiciness🌶️
Store in a glass bottle in the fridge. Shake well before each serving.
I take a small shot in the morning – it’s vibrant, earthy, a little fiery and feels like a warm hug for the body.
Namaste,
Christina
