Mental Health Awareness Month — taking a moment for yourself

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and in the UK we also have Mental Health Awareness Week (11–17 May 2026). It’s a good reminder to check in with ourselves and make a bit of space for how we’re actually feeling.

Life can get busy, and it’s easy to keep going without really pausing. I’ve found that even small moments to slow down, to breathe, to move gently and to be still, can make a real difference.

That’s a big part of why I teach yoga the way I do. Not as something intense or demanding, but as a way to unwind, reset and reconnect.

Online classes

I run two classes online, which you can join from home.

Restore & Rewind Yin Yoga

Every Monday | 7–8pm (UK time)

A slow, calming class focused on relaxation and stillness. We hold poses for longer, giving the body time to release tension and the mind a chance to settle. It’s a quiet, grounding hour, ideal if you’re feeling stressed, tired or just need some space.

Revitalising Yoga Flow

Every second Thursday | 7–8pm (UK time)

A gentle flow to help you move, breathe, and feel a bit more energised. Nothing too fast or complicated, just simple, fluid movement to ease stiffness, improve circulation and leave you feeling a bit lighter.

Join from your own space

Both classes are online, and you’ll receive a link after signing up. You don’t need much, just a bit of space, something comfortable to move on and an hour for yourself.

A small step

Looking after your mental health doesn’t have to be a big change. Sometimes it’s just setting aside a bit of time each week to slow down.

If that’s something you’ve been needing, you’re very welcome to join me.
